Recycling Changes

Fairfax County has made a major change in recycling contents. More information on this is available here. Anything made of glass will NOT be accepted (bottles, wine bottles, etc.). At this time all glass materials should be put in household trash, anything made of glass cannot be put in with the curbside recycling.

Fairfax County has made special purple containers available for recycling clean glass items. Locations of these containers can be found at the Northern Virginia's Glass Recovery Program. (The closest is at the Dolley Madison Library in McLean.)

This new policy began October 1, 2019.
